Pedro Pinto Appointed Technology & Architecture Manager

Pedro Pinto will be in charge of InnoWave’s technology & architecture area, management of national and international partnerships and research of innovative solutions. Pedro Pinto will also be responsible for creating InnoWave’s Competence Centre in Portugal, a strategic investment in its innovation and differentiation path.

Lisbon, June 15th, 2010 – InnoWave, a fast-growing technology company with a strong international focus, has just announced the hiring of Pedro Pinto as Manager of Technological Research & Architecture Area.

With over 8 years experience as an IT Consultant and a wide range of experience leading teams, the responsibilities of Pedro Pinto are now based in three main areas:

• Technology – Manage InnoWave’s technological knowledge, making it available to the whole team, and search for innovative solutions that fit the company’s DNA.
• Architecture - Lead the definition of methodologies and monitor the entire projects’ life-cycle.
• Partnerships - Strengthen and deepen InnoWave’s strategic partnerships to increase business opportunities and, at the same time, collect knowledge to share with the team and customers.

Pedro Pinto's short-term goals are to develop a team responsible for the Technology Knowledge and Architecture Area, represent InnoWave in national and international partnerships and leverage its recognition as a strategic partner. In the innovation area, he will actively participate in the success of product development, including the Right Time BI solution - Silego - helping to make it a worldwide reference in the Business Intelligence area. In terms of knowledge sharing, he will create and develop InnoWave’s competence center, which aims to streamline the communication channels making them more effective and efficient.

Before joining InnoWave, Pedro Pinto was a Siebel / CRM Consultant at Vodafone Portugal and TMN. His professional career started as .NET Consultant at Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro.

Pedro Pinto is 34 years old and has a degree in Electrical Engineer by University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. He is currently developing a doctoral thesis in the area of computer science applied to the monitoring, classification and simulation of scenarios on the ecological quality of Aquatic Ecosystems.
