Managing Director appointed to bring InnoWave to the Middle East
This year has been all about the ‘g’ word for InnoWave – growth. First Amsterdam, followed closely by Miami, developing new internationally based hubs has been our priority, and with these developments proving to be a resounding success, we are ready to take our international growth to the Middle East.
Managing Director, Pedro Mariano Teixeira, has joined InnoWave to assume responsibility for the Middle East, and is currently in the process of establishing a local office in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi. These latest plans for further expansion reflect our commitment to bring innovative technology to even the most demanding and competitive of markets, and our determination to achieve our goal of establishing InnoWave as a multinational organisation based from Lisbon.
The Middle East - namely Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain – has been identified as a region that well reflects InnoWave’s growth plans, as “these markets have the characteristics that we have looked for since the creation of the company; sophistication in the offer of products and services, transparency, high level of competition and commitment to innovation”, says Tiago Gonçalves, CEO of InnoWave.
Whilst InnoWave has had business prospects in the Middle East for the past two years, and we have been working with a local Telecommunications Operator in the area of Quality of Assurance, it seemed only logical for Pedro Teixeira to come aboard and begin further development of this business, accelerating growth, and setting up local business and operations management.
Coming from WeDo Technologies - a Sonae group company – Pedro has spent the last few years developing business across these markets, closing deals with clients such as Etisalat UAE, Ooredoo Oman, Vodafone Qatar, Saudi Telecom and Zain Kuwait. "InnoWave was clearly born with an international focus” Pedro says, “we will aim to create a local structure that enables us to develop business across this region, participating with technical teams based in our Portuguese head office”.
In terms of supply to the region, the focus for InnoWave in the Middle East will span the range of services we offer; from Smart-Sourcing, to Test-Automation (InnSpect), Gamification, and even the expanding area of AI and IoT.
